Contribute to the Bibliography
Please note that the framework for the Bibliography remains under development.
A classified bibliography presents the literature grouped by topic; it is selective and seeks to guide new and experienced students alike through the extensive scholarship on map history. That is to say, a classified bibliography is not a database-cum-library catalogue. As an example, consider the Oxford Bibliographies developed by Oxford University Press (subscription required).
If you know a researcher of early maps who is not yet a contributor to this Directory, please send the researcher the details of this site.
